The goal of this course will be to outline some of the most dominant theories and influential scholars in the field of Cultural Theory as an area that is still up and coming, and whose theoretical boundaries still remain very unclear till today. We will also try to trace the different usages and meanings of the words \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Culture\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Identity\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' as they have come down to us through history. (Note - even though this is an introductory course, a fairly good grasp of English and a proactive attitude to read in preparation for classes will be expected)
