| 授業概要 |

| In this course, we will talk about various topics in English. We will discuss grammar, cultural and technological topics. Students will learn interesting facts about the English language/culture while working on communication skills. |
| 到達目標 |
| Knowledge: Students will learn about specific English topics and modern uses of English. Attitude: Students will be open minded to learning about different views in English-speaking countries. Students should be willing to try to use any English they can during class and participate in pair and group discussions. Technique: Students should be able to experiment with English speech during class activities and improve their writing skills through homework assignments. Consideration: Students should view their mistakes as opportunities to learn, and be willing to try and improve their English through active participation. |

| Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: Attendance (no more than 5 absences), in-class participation, attitude towards English use, submitting homework, and an oral presentation. Credit is determined by: Attendance and Classwork: 55% Homework: 30% Oral Presentation: 15% |
