| 授業概要 |

| In this class we will use various modes of communication to strengthen oral communication skills. Students will learn to use multiple ways of speaking depending on the situation. By using task based activities, the students will have many opportunities to both present information clearly and listen for key points. |

| Knowledge and Understanding: Students will learn about different modes and situations and the grammar that is generally used for each (mainly through listening and reading.) Skill/Performance: Students will be able to speak according to multiple circumstances and gain confidence in each mode through pair work, interviews, and presentations (mainly listening and speaking) Thinking/Judgement: Students will be able to consider what domain they are speaking in and adjust their grammar correctly. Interest/Attitude: Students will be able to learn connection between grammar and different cultural ways of speaking in English. |

| Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: attendance (no more than 5 absences), in-class participation, attitude towards English use, homework/projects, presentations, tests. | 科目ナンバー: 6KEB104S Speaking test: 30% Homework : 10% Participation: 60% On the first day, we will register for Google Classroom, so students should bring their mobile/smartphone and university e-mail address/password. Students should also download Google Apps for Education on their smartphone (at least Google Classroom, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs). 初日に「グーグルクラスルーム」の登録を行いますので、自分のスマートフォンや携帯電話、そして大学が与えたメールアドレスとパスワードを持参するのが必要。初日までにグーグルのアプリ（少なくともグーグルクラスルーム、Gmail, グーグルドライブ、グーグルドキュメント）をスマートフォンにインストールをお勧めします。 Students must actively participate in class. Please bring a dictionary (paper or electronic) and notebook to class. Some homework/projects need to be submitted by Google Classroom or other electronic means.
