The purpose of this class is to create a more concrete base of English for these students. There will be a focus on improving student`s English abilities, but also a focus on long-lasting understanding of English.

The course objective is for students to have a solid grasp on the English language and have built upon that grasp by various different methods within the course.

Grading is based off of attendance, in-class assignments, peer evaluations, writing assignments, a final group project and a midterm. If the student attends class regularly and actively participates in class, they will succeed. Out of a 100 point system the grading is as follows: 30 points for homework, 30 points for in-class assignments, and 40 points for the two presentations.
