授業概要
This class will use everyday topics to strengthen students\\\' English communication skills (listening/speaking, reading/writing). Emphasis will be placed on speaking and writing as a means to convey information about oneself and one\\\'s culture in order to cultivate students\\\' skills as global citizens. 日常トピックスを通して英語コミュニケーション・スキル（話し、聞き取り、読み書き）をのばす。特に、グローバル市民として自分のことや自分の文化を伝えることで英語を話したり書いたりする。
到達目標
1) Students will use English to convey information (mainly speaking and writing). 2) Students will improve their listening/reading skills through discussions, group work, and textbook activities. 3) Students will use various kinds of technology to communicate in English.　・英語を主に話したり書いたりすることで情報を伝える。・ディスカッション、グループワーク、教科書のレッスンで聴解力や読解力をのばす。・様々なテクノロジーを利用して英語でコミュニケーションをとる。

評価方法
Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: attendance (no more than 4 absences), in-class participation, attitude towards English use, homework/projects, final presentation, tests. 総合評価は次の項目を含める：出席（欠席は４回以下）、授業中の参加、英語を使う態度、宿題・プロジェクト、ファイナルプレゼンテーション、テスト。

Person to Person Student Book 1 (3rd edition) by Jack C. Richards et.al., Oxford University Press.
The second half of the book will be used in the fall term.教科書の後半は後期で利用する。

Students must actively participate in class. Please bring a dictionary (paper or electronic) and notebook to class. Homework and projects will be turned in using Google Classroom and/or other means (e-mail, SNS, etc). Students should have access to a computer, cell phone, and/or smart phone, preferably one with video capability.授業中積極的に参加しなければならない。辞書（紙版か電子版）とノートを毎回持参。宿題・プロジェクトのはグーグルクラスルームや、電子メールSNSなどのオンライン方法で提出する。パソコン、携帯、スマートフォンのアクセスが必須（出来れば録画が可能なもの）。
