授業概要
This class will explore food and nutrition-related topics to strengthen students\\\\\\\' English communication skills (listening/speaking, reading/writing). Emphasis will be placed on speaking and writing as a means to convey information about food culture and nutrition in order to cultivate students\\\\\\\' skills for their future careers. 食物と栄養に関するトピックスを通して英語コミュニケーション・スキル（話し、聞き取り、読み書き）をのばす。特に、将来の就職に向けて食文化や栄養の情報を伝えることで英語を話したり書いたりする。
到達目標
1) Students will use English to convey information (mainly speaking and writing). 2) Students will improve their listening/reading skills through discussions, group work, and hands-on activities. 3) Students will use various kinds of technology to communicate in English.　・英語を主に話したり書いたりすることで情報を伝える。・ディスカッション、グループワーク、体験学習で聴解力や読解力をのばす。・様々なテクノロジーを利用して英語でコミュニケーションをとる。

評価方法
Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: attendance (no more than 5 absences), in-class participation, attitude towards English use, homework/projects, presentations, tests. There is no re-testing in this class. 総合評価は次の項目を含める：出席（欠席は5回以下）、授業中の参加、英語を使う態度、宿題・プロジェクト、プレゼンテーション、テスト。 再試験がありません。
教科書
Materials will be handed out in class. Students will often use the Internet to find information for classwork and homework. 学習資料を授業で配布する。クラスワークと宿題をするためにインターネットで調べることが多い。

Students must actively participate in class. Please bring a dictionary (paper or electronic) and notebook to class. Some homework/projects need to be submitted by Google Classroom or other electronic means. Students should have access to a computer, cell phone, and/or smart phone, preferably one with video capability. On the first day, we will register for Google Classroom, so students should bring their mobile/smartphone and university e-mail address/password. 授業中積極的に参加しなければならない。辞書（紙版か電子版）とノートを毎回持参。宿題・プロジェクトの一部はグーグルクラスルームや他のオンライン方法で提出する。パソコン、携帯、スマートフォンのアクセスが必須（出来れば録画が可能なもの）。初日に「グーグルクラスルーム」の登録を行いますので、自分のスマートフォンや携帯電話、そして大学が与えたメールアドレスとパスワードを持参するのが必要。
