授業概要
This class will introduce practical English skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) to convey information about architecture. Students will read about and discuss architecture around the world, and do writing and oral presentations about architecture in Japan..建築の情報を伝えるための実用的な英語スキル（話し、聞き取り、読み書き）を紹介する。役に立つ会話を積極的に練習するとともに、世界の建築に関して読んだりディスカッションしたりして、日本の建築に関して書いたりプレゼンテーションをしたりします。
到達目標
目標�� Students will learn English vocabulary and phrases used to convey information about architecture. 建築に関する英単語や文法を学ぶ。（知識・理解）

評価方法
Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: in-class participation, attitude towards English use, homework, final presentation, tests. There is no re-testing in this class. 総合評価は次の項目を含める：授業中の参加、英語を使う態度、宿題、ファイナルプレゼンテーション、テスト。 再試験はありません。
教科書
Super Structures (Oxford Read and Discover Level 3) by Fiona Undrill, Oxford University Press.

Students must buy the textbook. The same textbook will also be used in the second term.テキストを買わなければなりません。同じテキストを後期にも使います。
参考図書
No additional reference books, but students must have access to the Internet to do research for projects. 参考図書はありませんが、下調べのためにインターネットのアクセスが必要。
備考
Office Hours: Tuesdays, Period 2. Building 25 (Media Center), 10F.

Students must actively participate in class. Please bring the textbook and notebook to class. Homework and projects will be turned in using Google Classroom and/or other means (e-mail, SNS, etc). Students should have access to a computer, cell phone, and/or smart phone, preferably one with video capability. On the first day, we will register for Google Classroom, so students should bring their mobile/smartphone and university e-mail address/password. Students should also download Google Apps for Education on their smartphone (at least Google Classroom, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs). 授業中積極的に参加しなければならない。テキストとノートを毎回持参。宿題・プロジェクトはグーグルクラスルームや、電子メールSNSなどのオンライン方法で提出する。パソコン、携帯、スマートフォンのアクセスが必須（出来れば録画が可能なもの）。初日に「グーグルクラスルーム」の登録を行いますので、自分のスマートフォンや携帯電話、そして大学が与えたメールアドレスとパスワードを持参するのが必要。初日までにグーグルのアプリ（少なくともグーグルクラスルーム、Gmail, グーグルドライブ、グーグルドキュメント）をスマートフォンにインストールをお勧めします。
