This is an Elementary Level course designed to challenge the students to emit. At this level, students tend to overthink such simple interactions as greetings, simple purchases, directions, etc.. By the end of the course, the students will have the skills to have those simple interactions in English without the need to overthink/think about the process in Japanese. |

Our goal is to have the students to be able to understand basic conversations in English. Ideally, to understand simple small talk, orders, etc¡Ä They should feel as though they have the ability to do simple transactions in English and possibly engage in very light small talk. They should have the ability to do so by the end of the course. The ongoing roleplays that we do in class will should cause the students to understand that they can operate effectively in these situations. |
