Introduction to Writing in English The prime focus of this course is to develop written skills
in English.Students will learn the rudiments of writing a paragraph,a short composition,
personal and business letters,haiku in English and write a 100-page journal.
The intent of the course to promote written fluency and accuracy though the use of dialogue
journal writing activities:learning how to use a thesaurus to encourage lexical development:learning
how to brainstorm, outline and organize their work :and learning how to revise and redraft their work,
This is a content based course featuring personal development topics.This topic has been chosen
to be personally meaningful to students.In addition,short authentic text is used as samples
for students to read and examine for written features and to support the personal development
topics.This course is for low level intermediate learners, pre-English for Academic Purposes Level (EAP) ¡¡
