| 【授業概要】 Theme based units introduce basic grammar points such as past and present tense, countable and uncountable nouns, capital letters, pronouns, cause and result sentences and word parts. Writing skills include free writing, brainstorming, working through drafts, reading to improve writing, and peer feedback. 【到達目標】 The goal of this course is to develop all round writing skills with an emphasis on academic writing. |

Student introductions. | Theme based lessons will consist of student centered classroom activities inntroducing varoius writing skills and grammar points. Students will be expected to practice writing both in and outside of class. In addition to completing written homework assignments students will also be encourage to keep a weekly English journal. | |

| Final grades will be decided as follows: 50% class mark based on participation in classroom activities. 50% based on written assignments. and the final essay. The English journal is not graded. |
