This course aims at familiarizing the students with some of the
greatest American authors of the 20th century, as well as with
some of the literary movements and trends. Parts of film versions
of the literary works will be presented in order to show the way they have been interpreted by Hollywood. Students
are recommended to read all the works from the reading list. It
is compulsory that they read at least one each semester, in order
to be able to produce a final paper.
