This class is designed to introduce students to Business English. Using fundamental English that they have encountered before, students will build upon what they know and use this knowledge in a business context. The focus will be on building upon those foundations and allowing students to express themselves in English in a variety of business settings. Classes will be divided into lectures, workshop and practice.

1) Students should be able to identify their foundational English abilities and adapt them to a business context.
2) Students should be to think and consider different business culture practices.
3) Students should be able to explore and experiment with what they have learned to create their own individual expressions.

Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: Attendance (no more than 5 absences), in-class participation, attitude towards English use homework/projects, final presentation, tests. There are no re-tests.

Credit is determined by:
Attendance and classwork: 40%
Homework: 30%
Tests: 30%
