This course will introduce the students to debating in English. Lessons will begin with simple \\\'A or B\\\' opinion type debates to allow for the introduction of the above skills to the students. As the course progresses, the debate questions will move towards more topical debates and in the last few weeks, statements, where the students (in groups) will have to criticise or defend the given statement.

Grade is calculated based on the following Rubric:
34%: Presence & Class Participation
33%: Homework
33%: Project Work
Test: Optional
*Students are free to consult teachers about their grades at any time during the semester.
*Students who have low Participation or Homework Grades will be given a take home test.
This test will then be used as a replacement for the low grade
