The purpose of this class is for students to develop better English
skills in speaking and writing. Communication skills will be
established throughout the semester. Students should leave this class
feeling more confident about their conversational English abilities.

(How you evaluate the class)
Grading is based off of attendance, in class assignments, peer
evaluations, writing assignments, a final group project and a midterm.
If the student attends class regularly and actively participates in
class, they will succeed.

Students should bring a dictionary (paper or electronic) and a notebook
to class. Laptops will not be needed in class. Students do need to have
access to a computer, as some of the assignments need to be turned in
through email.
