授業概要
This class will use everyday situations (especially in business situations) to strengthen students\\\\\\\' English communication skills (listening/speaking, reading/writing). Emphasis will be placed on practicing speaking and writing in order to cultivate students\\\\\\\' skills as global citizens. 日常トピックス（特にビジネス会話）を通して英語コミュニケーション・スキル（話し、聞き取り、読み書き）をのばす。特に、グローバル市民として自分のことなどを伝えることで英語を実践的に話したり書いたりする。
到達目標
1) Students will use key English phrases to convey information (mainly speaking and writing) in a variety of work-related situations. 2) Students will improve their listening/reading skills through discussions, group work, and textbook activities. 3) Students will use various kinds of technology to communicate in English.　・基礎英語を主に話したり書いたりすることで情報を伝え、幅広いシチュエーションで応用する。・ディスカッション、グループワーク、教科書のレッスンで聴解力や読解力をのばす。・様々なテクノロジーを利用して英語でコミュニケーションをとる。

評価方法
Performance will be assessed through a combination of the following: attendance (no more than 5 absences), in-class participation, attitude towards English use, homework/projects, and tests (written and oral). 総合評価は次の項目を含める：出席（欠席は5回以下）、授業中の参加、英語を使う態度、宿題・プロジェクト、テスト（筆記・スピーキング）。

Passport to Work Student Book (Angela Buckingham and Norman Whitney, Oxford University Press)
This book will also be used in the fall term.教科書は後期でも利用する。

Students must actively participate in class. Please bring the textbook and a notebook to each class. Homework and projects will be turned in using Google Classroom and/or other means (e-mail, SNS, etc). Students should have access to a computer, cell phone, and/or smart phone, preferably one with video capability. On the first day, we will register for Google Classroom, so students should bring their mobile/smartphone and university e-mail address/password. Students should also download Google Apps for Education on their smartphone (at least Google Classroom, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs). 授業中積極的に参加しなければならない。教科書とノートを毎回持参。宿題・プロジェクトはグーグルクラスルームや、電子メールSNSなどのオンライン方法で提出する。パソコン、携帯、スマートフォンのアクセスが必須（出来れば録画が可能なもの）。初日に「グーグルクラスルーム」の登録を行いますので、自分のスマートフォンや携帯電話、そして大学が与えたメールアドレスとパスワードを持参するのが必要。初日までにグーグルのアプリ（少なくともグーグルクラスルーム、Gmail, グーグルドライブ、グーグルドキュメント）をスマートフォンにインストールをお勧めします。
